vitaminsYou may be like all the other brides who want amazing photos of her with her life mate, after all, it’s going to be posted to Facebook, it’s going to hang in not only your home, but in the homes of your parents and grandparents. Yes, everyone will see if you had great hair and skin, how you fit into your wedding dress, and how relaxed (or stressed) you were during the photo shoot. Where do you start?

Studies say Vitamin A (also known as retinoids) can aid in reducing wrinkles, fading brown spots, and smooth skin texture. Vitamin A is available in lotions, creams, capsules and some prescriptions.  Vitamin C is similar to Vitamin A in that it also helps smooth skin and fade brown spots by inhibiting free radicals that trigger wrinkling, sagging, and other aging changes.

Rather than searching for the perfect, most likely expensive, potion or lotion, consider turning to produce instead. Pomegranate fruit contains both Vitamin A and Vitamin C and may be enjoyed as a delicious whole fruit snack. Other fresh fruit, like lemon or papaya, can be used on the skin topically straight from the grocery store too! After washing your face clean, you can actually use the flesh side of a papaya skin to apply as a peel. Yes, rub the flesh side of a papaya on clean skin (chunks and all) and let it dry before you rinse it clean with cold water for a great enzymatic peel for improved skin texture and a beautiful glow! If you are concerned about pigmentation or acne, lemon can be applied directly to clean skin. The citric acid in lemons acts as a natural bleaching component. Add 2 Tsp of lemon juice to 3 Tbsp of water and apply to affected area with cotton pad. Allow to sit on skin for up to 30 minutes and rinse clean with cold water. You may repeat this as often as necessary. If you experience any skin irritation, you can add organic honey to mixture for a calming, hydrating effect. lemon water hfrRegular use of pure, fresh lemon juice applied to skin can also heal acne. Simply dilute and apply to the skin the same way as discussed, leave on for up to 15 minutes, and rinse clean with cold water. Lemons are full of Vitamin C, Vitamin B, Phosphorous, and Carbohydrates. The fruit acids are amazing as a beauty enhancer, and if you regularly consume water with fresh squeezed lemons, add organic honey if you’d like for taste, you can clean you system internally and attain acne-free skin. Lemons are a beauty must!
