The “Shoe Game” is a great ice breaker, and gets a lot of laughs! Set two chairs back to back in the middle of the dance floor and ask the bride and groom to take a seat. Have the maid of honor remove both the grooms shoes and the Best man remove the brides.
Then the DJ announces “This game is to show how much the new Mr./Mrs. John and Jane Doe really know about each other… I will ask you a question and you raise the shoe that you think best fits the answer to the question…his show for him and her show for her.”
Sometimes the bride will put up her shoe, and the groom will put up his, and the guests will roar. This can also be done with parents of the bride or groom or other guests. The trick is, do not let the couple know the questions ahead of time.
