What neckline do you want for your wedding dress?
It is important that your neckline style flatters your face and your body shape. Before we get started, I am not going to suggest that one style is going to look better on different body types because I have seen it all at the bridal shop. If you feel comfortable and look great, then wear whatever wedding dress you want!
- Strapless is a classic look with a neckline that goes straight across the body just above the bust.
- Sweetheart is a heart-shaped neckline and is one of the most popular necklines.
- Bateau- (boat neck) follows the curve of the collarbone from shoulder to shoulder; the same depth in the front and the back.
- Halter-a halter features two straps that start at the bodice and wraps around the neck; generally leaves arms and back bare.
- Off the Shoulder fits just below the shoulders with long or short sleeves.
- One-Shoulder is an asymmetrical neckline where one shoulder is covered and the other is bare.
- Scoop is a U-shaped neckline. It is very versatile and can be as high or low as you feel comfortable with.
- Square-Straps and a straight neckline create a square shape.
- T-Shirt is a round neckline resembling that of a T-shirt.
- V-Neck drops from shoulders to collarbone in a “V”.
