When it comes to wedding reception table décor, the sky’s the limit! You can have elaborate pieces that really stand out or more subtle pieces that just enhance the reception and are not a main focus.
Here are some ideas for centerpieces that will fit every type of wedding.
- Floral: You can transform floral center pieces into anything you want. Put flowers in tall vases with elegant designs or keep it simple with smaller vases. You can also add stones and lights to the vases to spruce them up a bit. Keep in mind you’re not just limited to floral, use fruit, plants, branches and shrubbery as well. Remember it is important to pick pieces your guests will all be able to see each other and not have to look around your centerpieces to converse with others at the table.
- Pictures: A cute and affordable idea is placing pictures of the bride and groom in frames on each table. You could even make little stands that they sit on to make them more elegant. Decorate the stands with flowers, lights, ribbons, etc. Also, don’t feel the need to just use engagement photos, use silly photos that you two have taken throughout the years and some from when you first started dating. Your guests will get a good laugh and it makes it much more personal.
- Baskets: Use baskets to not only look elegant but also make memories! Decorate your baskets (or whatever container you choose) and place it in the center of each table. Leave paper and pencils at the table so each guest can write a tip for a successful marriage on it, or a well wishing and place it in the basket. You can even engrave the bride and grooms names on the pencils for an extra touch!
These are just a few ideas but when it comes to centerpieces keep in mind that the more creative you are, the more you’ll be remembered. You don’t necessarily have to spend a fortune on centerpieces when you can make some that are just as nice and more thoughtful!
