Over the next few weeks we will be taking a look at weddings from the groom’s perspective. From rings to planning the honeymoon, there are a lot of things a groom has to do before the wedding. Let’s be honest. As a guy, I know putting things off to the last second is much easier than actually getting off the couch, but in order to be able to share this wonderful engagement with your soon-to-be wife you need to get your head in the game. We are going to follow the flow of an engagement and it all starts with the engagement ring.
Engagement ring shopping is just as exciting as a root canal. All the different options, colors, cuts and settings can be overwhelming and bring anxiety to any man. That is why this is the best advice to follow. DON’T BE AFRAID! Not knowing the answer to every question is okay and doing some research is only a mouse click away. You can do it! Going into your local jewelry store and asking questions is acceptable and does not belittle your manhood. Also, if you have friends who just recently got engaged ask them for advice. People will help you, but you have to ask.
Getting up the courage to walk in alone to a jewelry store can be hard for any guy, but bringing a buddy can make it easier.
