Even though wedding cream cheese mints have been around for generations, they have proven to gracefully withstood the test of time. Brides that are trying their hand at more do-it-yourself (DIY) details are embracing these mints and adding their own modern twists.
Wedding cream cheese mints are easy to make yourself, inexpensive and can be made in hundreds of unique shapes and colors. These mints are freezable for up to several months.
Here is a basic cream cheese mint recipe:
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 2 pounds powdered sugar
- 1/8 tsp flavoring and food coloring
- Mix all ingredients and knead until creamy and smooth. Roll into tiny balls, dust with fine granulated sugar. Press into rubber or plastic molds.
- Immediately remove from mold and place on wax paper. Allow to dry.
