Now that your wedding and reception is all planned, let’s talk about transportation! Here are some helpful tips and things you should know when planing your ride.
- How much can you spend? You’re likely to be charged by the hour, which can run around $50-$125 an hour, depending on what you choose.
- Who will be riding? You much consider the number of people you want to transport from the wedding to the reception site. Several vehicles may be needed. In this case, you might be able to negotiate a better price for multiple vehicles.
- Who should you ask to ride along? Really anyone you want. Arranging transportation for parents, grandparents etc. is a nice gesture.
- Don’t leave too many vehicles behind. Making arrangements for those riding in the reserved vehicles, to get their vehicles to the reception ahead of time, is a great idea. In addition for parents and grandparents, you could ask other family members to drive their cars form the wedding to the reception.
- Since you have the vehicle rented, why not see what it would cost to drive home your guests after the reception. This is a great way to ensure that your guests get home safely after the dance. If you arrange this to cut down on costs you could book the transportation company to come back for a 2-3 hour window at the end of the night. Then be sure to let your guests know ahead of time.
- Finally don’t forget to ask about gratuity. If it is not included in your rental, be sure to tip your driver!
