After you get engaged you will buy your first bridal magazine and start searching the web for ideas. Right then you should make a folder on your computer designated just for images you come across and like. Tear images out of magazines and put those in another folder. You don’t have to love every one of them, just save anything that catches your eye. This will help you realize what you want the look of your wedding to be. As you continue to plan, look through these images and delete the ones you don’t feel so hot about anymore. You might end up with so many images you should categorize – dresses, flowers, lighting, cakes, centerpieces, etc.
Anytime you go to meet with vendors, take any images that pertain to what service they will be providing you with. It might be a good idea to send these images before your meeting so the vendor has time to think about or prepare a few things before you meet with them. Pictures are very important because someone else’s idea of something may be different than you have in mind. The images shown are all different but are all examples of what some could consider “rustic” centerpieces.
Something that is very important you should keep in mind is some pictures you love, might not work for you- the flowers might be out of season, the lighting effects may be out of your budget, certain items may not be available to rent in your area. With so many options out there, anything you see should be able to be tweaked to work for your wedding.
