Everyone has a different plan when it comes to whether to have alcohol served at your wedding reception and dance, or not. Here are a few ways to tastefully incorporate drinking without going overboard.
- Serve champagne during the toasts, but also offer sparkling grape juice to those who prefer not to drink. This is also a great way to include the younger guests at your wedding.
- Create signature drinks. Have the bride and groom each create a drink that goes with the color scheme and defines their drinking style. Then offer these master pieces in a non-alcoholic option.
- Consider limiting the bar options. When beer is the only thing served the chances of too many guests over-consuming goes down.
- Wait to serve the alcohol until later in the evening after kids and other guests such as grandparents have retired for the evening.
- Assign designated drivers to bring people home at the end of the night.
- Be sure you have a couple fun drinks for those not drinking. consider a sparkling punch, sodas or lemonade.
